If so how much do I need & how long after treatment can I start to use & finish wood.

Go with the Boracare. It's odorless and once the treated wood is dry, you won't even know it's been sprayed. Furthermore, the Boracare will soak through the entire thickness of the lumber making it impossible for anything to live in it so you won't have to worry about damage after anything is built.
